PRODUCT DESCRIPTION:
100% Pure Organic Castor oil is moisturising and revitalising for the skin and hair. It supports healthy hair growth and a youthful appearance. Organic Castor Oil is a powerful, multi-use oil that is used to treat a wide range of hair, scalp and skin concerns. This oil is sought-after because it helps to seal moisture and natural oils in the hair. Organic Castor Oil is rich in Vitamin E, proteins and Omega 6 & 9, all the key components responsible for healthy hair and skin.
Our Castor oil is USDA Certified Organic, extra virgin cold pressed, premium quality and unrefined to retain its natural benefits. No hexane, solvents or chemicals are used in its production. Produced under GMP facilities to ensure this product is of the highest quality available.
Castor oil is a popular emollient that can be used to soothe, protect and moisturise the skin. It is a wonderful ingredient to include in your creams, lotions and body butters to take advantage of this quality to improve the overall smoothness and softness of the outer skin layers.
When used in shampoos it provides additional and superior shine and body. Castor oil is brilliant in liquid and bar soap. When added to a soap recipe at only 2-3% it enables the production of a luxurious lather to be proud of. Castor oil is known for its great bubbles in ANY soap making endeavour, so be sure not to don't neglect this in your next recipe!
Castor oil is thought to have anti-inflammatory, antimicrobial, moisturising and many other useful properties. It acts as a natural acne remedy by fighting inflammation, soothing skin and fighting bacteria. Apart from its common use as an emulsifying agent, castor oil is very absorbent and creates a natural barrier on the skin, which can help guard it from harsh conditions. Applying castor oil on sensitive skin areas such as the neck and under the eyes can actually reduce the appearance of small wrinkles and fine lines.
When warmed and applied to affected areas, Castor oil is touted as being incredibly soothing for arthritic pain, inflammation and sore muscles .With consistent use, pain relief has been reported with some even claiming after a few weeks consistent use it does not return.
Castor oil is an affordable treatment if you’re looking to add shine, smooth flyaways, and condition your hair. The ricinoleic acid in castor oil helps lock in moisture while promoting a clean and healthy scalp—all of which are essential to hair growth.
The Castor oil can be a wonderful way to add to a holistic, healthy and natural lifestyle. It is an affordable and versatile oil that provides many benefits for healthy and natural beauty and wellbeing.

SUGGESTED USE:
HEALTHY HAIR GROWTH- Apply directly to the scalp and massage. Leave on for 30 minutes or overnight. You can also apply a small amount to the mid-lengths and ends to nourish the strands. Shampoo and condition as usual. Repeat 1-2 times a week for best results. Please see more hair tips below.
We also stock Jamaican Black Castor Oil, another popular option for promoting hair growth. Please click here if you would like to check out Jamaican Black Castor Oil.
SCALP HEALTH- Castor Oil has antibacterial properties to improve scalp health. It can balance scalp PH levels and boost hair follicle health. Rich in Vitamin E and nourishing for the scalp. Apply directly to the scalp and massage. Leave on for 30 minutes or overnight. Shampoo and condition as usual. Repeat 1-2 times a week for best results.
HAIR TREATMENT - It is ideal to use castor oil about once or twice a week—simply massage a ten-cent coin sized amount of product onto your scalp and let it soak for anywhere from 15 minutes to a few hours before rinsing it out, followed by shampoo and conditioner. For an ultra-hydrating weekly treatment, coat your hair with castor oil, put on a shower cap before going to bed (or use an old pillowcase), then shampoo and condition the next day.
ADD TO HAIR PRODUCTS- A couple of drops of Castor Oil can also be added to your haircare products if you have very dry, brittle, coarse or curly hair.
LEAVE IN HAIR OIL- For course dry hair, you may like to apply a very small amount of Castor Oil to mid lengths and ends to seal in moisture and add shine. Works well on thick curly hair. Rub a few drops in your hands and work desired areas. Leaving in may not suit all hair types (e.g. this may be too heavy to leave in fine hair types). Start with a very small amount and see how much you need in your hair and if this suits you.
SKIN- Apply directly to the skin to moisturise, repair and replenish.
Castor Oil works well applied in the evening before going to bed. Usually only a dad is required to meet your skins moisture needs.
Castor Oil can be incorporated into a blend of other oils or beauty products.
NAILS AND CUTICLES- Apply to nails and cuticles. Massage well until absorbed.
FADE SCARS- Applied regularly, Castor Oil can be used to help to fade scars.
STRETCH MARKS AND CELLULITE- Rub Castor oil on regularly to improve the appearance of stretch marks and cellulite.
SMOOTH FEET- Can be used to soften rough, dry heels. Can be massaged in. Put on some socks and leave overnight. Apply a little regularly to areas that are particularly dry and rough.
SOFT LIPS- Dab on a small amount of castor oil to add shine and moisture to dry lips.
LASHES AND BROWS- Using a cotton tip, apply a very small amount of oil lightly along the lash line and/or brows. A little goes a long way. Avoid contact with eyes. Leave it on overnight. Cleanse in the morning.
USING CASTOR OIL FOR JOINT ACHES, PAIN AND INFLAMMATION:
Castor oil is traditionally used for soothing arthritic pain. It is generally warmed and applied to affected areas and covered. If using on hands, leave to soak in by covering the hands with cotton gloves and then rubber gloves so as not to mark anything. Used morning and night it may provide relief. With consistent use, significant pain relief has been reported when using this natural remedy.

How to use castor oil for joint aches, pains, and inflammation?
- Apply castor oil to the inflamed joint and massage it into the area for about 3 minutes.
- Saturate a piece of flannel with more castor oil (or cloth, a throwaway dry wipe, old cloth or bandage works well). Or use a waist wrap and/or neck wrap.
- Wrap flannel around the affected joints.
- Apply clear plastic wrap around the joint so that it compresses the joint.
- Apply heat to the area for about 15-20 minutes. A heat pack or warm towels work well. The heat helps with absorption.
- Clean off the castor oil after use.
- Repeat this at least once a day for 3-5 days.
Please note, castor oil can stain and can be messy. You may wish to use some old towels, or so do this outside, or in an area that is easy to clean. Oil can be slippery so take good care.
