HOW TO USE:

This butter can be used as a leave in for wash and go hairstyles, in dry hair to smooth flyaways and add shine, as a styling aid or you can use it as a pre-shampoo deep treatment. Experiment with how this unique and versatile product works best for your hair type. A little goes a long way so start with a small amount and increase if required.

Apply a small amount to the hair regularly, ideally 2-3 times a week for best results. 

The other options for using this product are to apply similar to the traditional methods used for Chebe application by the women in Chad or to apply more generously as a pre-shampoo treatment. Please see below for more details and steps for all of the different ways you can use this product.

STEPS FOR USING THIS PRODUCT SIMILAR TO THE TRADITIONAL CHEBE METHODS USED BY WOMEN IN CHAD

TRADITIONALLY, CHADIAN WOMEN USE BEEF FAT (TALLOW) WITH THE CHEBE POWDER AND WATER ON THEIR HAIR.

Steps:

·      Dampen your hair

·      Divide your hair into 4-10 sections (depending on the length and thickness of your hair)

·      Section by section apply the Chebe & Tallow Hair Butter to the hair. You can use the Chebe and Tallow Butter as is, or if you prefer it to be less thick you can add you favourite conditioner and/or oil until the consistency you desire is achieved. Warm in hands and distribute through the lengths of the hair through to the ends (Please note- Chebe is not used on the scalp, it is used on the hair lengths).

·      As you apply you can wet the hair further

·      Braid or twist the hair

·      Once the braiding or twisting is done, wet the hair again with water.

·      For best results, repeat the routine every 3 to 5 days.

LEAVE IN-TREATMENT (using a smaller amount than the traditional method. This may be more suitable for your lifestyle if you do not wish to apply too much product to the hair):

As a leave-in butter apply a small amount to palms and distribute throughout either damp or dry hair. Use this product on the hair lengths and avoid the scalp. May be used daily to refresh your hair style, detangle and alleviate dryness or as needed. This product is great used daily to refresh parched, thirsty dry curls.

The best approach is to start with the smallest amount you think you will need and gradually increase from there.

RICH HAIR MASK OR PRE-SHAMPOO TREATMENT:

If you prefer not to leave the Chebe & Tallow Butter in the hair, you may prefer

using this product as a natural hair mask or pre-shampoo treatment. Apply a more generous amount prior to shampooing and leave on for least 30 minutes or overnight.

1. Apply to hair, from roots to ends. Can be used on its own or mixed with other hair loving ingredients (any oils or conditioners you desire)

2. Leave on for 30 minutes to 1 hour

3. Rinse thoroughly with warm water

4. Shampoo and condition as usual

Experiment with what works best for your hair type.

Use 2-3 times a week for best results. Individual results may vary.

This product is designed to be used on the hair, and not the scalp. It maintains growth by keeping the hair moisturised and in good condition. It is recommended that you do not apply Chebe to the scalp, therefore we need to advise that scalp application be avoided. Storage:  Store in a cool dry place away from direct sunlight. If the product melts in warm weather, it can be stored in the refrigerator.

Tallow will solidify in cooler temperatures and be softer in warmer temperatures. If melting occurs during transit in the warmer months, this will not effect the product and it will solidify when back in cooler conditions. You can put the product in the fridge if it has melted.

Due to the natural nature of this product, variations in appearance and texture may occur between batches as a result of seasonal and temperature changes.

Please note- If melting occurs in transit this will not effect the product. You can put the product in the fridge until it solidifies.
